Police are responding to reports of a robbery and assault in Christchurch

Police are responding to reports of a robbery and assault in Christchurch

About 4pm authorities were alerted to a robbery on Waltham's Ensors Road - with a person threatened with a knife and had their phone taken.

Soon after, reports were received of a second assault on Isabella Place, with a stabbing.

Police are working to locate and arrest the alleged offender.

A St John spokesperson says one person has been taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
