The Northern Mystics are spoilt with their replacement player Ama Agbeze

The Northern Mystics are spoilt with their replacement player Ama Agbeze

The 38-year-old defender has signed with the Auckland netball franchise for this year's ANZ Premiership season, replacing the injured Michaela Sokolich-Beatson.

Agbeze captained England to Commonwealth Games gold in 2018 and previously played for the Central Pulse.

Mystics coach Helene Wilson says Agbeze has been a great addition, because she can play all three defensive positions.

The Mystics have one final pre-season hit out tonight against the Northern Stars before their opening match against the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic next Monday in Auckland.
