A call for Maori to take their bowel health into their own hands - with an at-home testing kit

A call for Maori to take their bowel health into their own hands - with an at-home testing kit

Canterbrians aged 60-74 are getting their screening kit in the mail, after the national programme rolled out in the region late last year.

Programme Champion Dame Aroha Reriti-Crofts says Maori urgently need to get involved.

She says they have higher incidences of bowel cancer than non-Maori and the test is a simple way to check everything's working as it should.
