The Blues will again be without their skipper for Friday's trip to the Highlanders in Dunedin

The Blues will again be without their skipper for Friday's trip to the Highlanders in Dunedin

Fears that Patrick Tuipulotu would miss a second straight Super Rugby game with a neck and shoulder issue have been confirmed, with Tom Robinson to again skipper the side.

There's just one change to the run-on side with Jonathan Ruru returning at halfback for Sam Nock who drops out of the 23.

Assistant coach Tom Coventry says they've selected the best team for under the roof.

The Highlanders have recalled Josh Ioane to the run on side at fullback, with Connor Garden-Bachop ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a broken wrist.
