On-demand public transport could be coming to Hawke's Bay

On-demand public transport could be coming to Hawke's Bay

The Regional Council's consulting the community on a plan for on-demand busses, which passengers could order via mobile or landline phones.

The on-demand service would replace three bus routes that have low passenger numbers.

It's a 'corner to corner' service so passengers may have to walk around 200-metres to be picked up.

Prices could be as low as two-dollars with a waiting time of 15 minutes or less.
