All eyes on future measures in the property market

All eyes on future measures in the property market

A Core Logic report shows sales activity has remained high in the first quarter of this year, property values have risen rapidly, and mortgaged investor participation has surged.

It says the figures reinforce changes made by the Government last month -- including the bright line test extension.

Chief Property Economist for CoreLogic Kelvin Davidson says they're keeping an eye on a few things.

He says that includes what will happen to rents, what will happen to further purchases from investors and what happens to existing property ownership.
