Seatoun and Roseneath are now two-million dollar suburbs

Seatoun and Roseneath are now two-million dollar suburbs

QV figures show the two Wellington suburbs are the first in the capital to record average property values of more than two-million dollars.

Area manger Paul McCorry says Wellington is unique with the upper end of the housing market actually out-performing the entry-level suburbs.

Although he's questioned whether there even is an entry level in Wellington city anymore, given the average value in the lower quartile is approaching 900-thousand dollars.

And previously affordable areas to the north of Wellington city - such as Tawa, Johnsonville and Churton Park - have recently passed the one million dollar mark.
