Police and Oranga Tamariki are still at the Gloriavale Christian community -- as investigations on widespread allegations of abuse continue

Police and Oranga Tamariki are still at the Gloriavale Christian community -- as investigations on widespread allegations of abuse continue

A 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty sexual offending at the West Coast's Gloriavale commune, between 2015 and 2018.

He entered the guilty pleas to three representative charges of indecent assault against teen boys at the Greymouth District Court yesterday.

Oranga Tamariki's Deputy Chief Executive, Services for Children and Families South, Alison McDonald says staff are working with police to ensure the safety of the church's younger members.

The two agencies last week spent four days interviewing community members.
