History at the US Women's Golf Open in San Francisco

History at the US Women's Golf Open in San Francisco

Yuka Saso has become the first player from the Philippines to win a golf major after triumphing on the third playoff hole.

Saso overcame back-to-back double bogeys early in the round to climb her way back up to finish equal after 72 holes and taking advantage of a back-nine collapse by Lexi Thompson.

Saso, just the second teen to win the US Open, has become overwhelmed after thanking her family after her win

Patrick Cantlay has won the PGA Tour event in Ohio, in a playoff from Collin Morikawa.
