    Malakai Fekitoa is switching allegiances to his country of birth


    The former All Blacks midfielder has had approval to play for Tonga in an Olympic sevens repechage next weekend.

    Under a World Rugby rule, players can switch to different countries provided they have completed a three year stand-down and then turn out in an Olympic event.

    Former Wallaby Lopeti Timani has also been named in the Tongan sevens squad.
