Christchurch's Mayor is recommending changes to the city's 10 year budget
17 June 2021
The Council is proposing putting nearly four billion dollars into upgrading and protecting water networks and transport infrastructure, in its draft budget.
Mayor Lianne Dalziel says community feedback from more than 2300 groups and individuals has prompted a number of proposed changes to the Long Term Plan.
She says she's recommending council drop some changes, such as closing the Riccarton Bus Lounges.
The changes will be considered by elected members at a special Council meeting next week.
