Police say they'll be reviewing their footage from a major gang member's funeral...and following up any infringements

No arrests were made today after hundreds gathered for a service at the St Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Lynn, before the procession headed out to Avondale and then on to Mangere.

Superintendent Karyn Malthus says with any incident of this size, they can't arrest their way out of it, they've got to monitor it.

She says members of the gang community did engage with police, and by and large followed the road rules.
