More issues for North Canterbury, after another load of heavy rain

More issues for North Canterbury, after another load of heavy rain

Hurunui has road closures, surface flooding and slips after the weekend's downpour.

The District Council's had crews at sewer plants trying to reduce high levels - unblocking drains and monitoring lagoons.

Mayor Marie Black says it's hitting farmers the hardest.

She says there will be another big clean up as this rain has damaged fence lines again.
