The Chiefs prop is one of the 36 named to play Tonga and Fiji next month.
His last appearance in the black jersey came at the 2019 World Cup.
He admits to a patchy 2020 due to a rare quad muscle injury.
David Havili, Braydon Ennor and Luke Jacobson also return after extended absences.
Midfielder Quinn Tupaea, prop Ethan de Groot, loose forward Ethan Blackadder and halfback Finlay Christie are the newcomers.
