Director General of Health Ashley Bloomfield says it's critical anyone who was at locations of interest in Wellington at the relevant times..or anyone who has Covid-19 symptoms .. gets tested.
It's now five days since a Covid positive tourist flew home to Australia from Wellington.
Yesterday our labs processed more than 10 thousand tests - more than three and a half thousand of those in Wellington.
Bloomfield says there are more than fifty testing sites in the greater Wellington region - and people needing a test should call ahead to Healthline to book an appointment.
He says if you're no longer in Wellington, but were at a location of interest.. or have symptoms elsewhere in the country, the same advice applies.
He says it is a legal requirement for those at exposure sites to follow advice about isolating and testing.
