An inquest into the death of a pilot towing a glider is being heard in Christchurch

Martin Lowen, died in his fixed-wing airplane 2014, after taking off from the Canterbury Gliding Club in Springfield.
The crash was witnessed by glider pilot John McCaw, uncle of All Blacks captain Richie McCaw.
A coronial inquest into the death of the 55-year-old was delayed during official crash investigations.
There were also Covid-19 delays and other adjournments.
