    A statement performance at the right time for shot putter Tom Walsh


    The Rio Olympics bronze medalist has produced his season's best throw of 22.22 metres in winning his penultimate event before Tokyo in Budapest.

    Despite winning his last five competitions, Walsh had been unhappy with his performances before this morning's meet.



    Tom Walsh will throw in one final meet in Poland this weekend before heading to Japan.
