The Southern Steel have secured their place in the ANZ Premiership netball playoffs after a thrilling 46-45 victory over the Stars in Auckland

It was a tight contest, but a few missed shots in the last two minutes of the match hurt the home side, costing them their spot in the finals.

Steel skipper Shannon Saunders told Sky Sport her young side stood up when they were under the pump.
