The once Covid-19 stricken ship 'Viking Bay' is expected to leave Wellington today

The once Covid-19 stricken ship 'Viking Bay' is expected to leave Wellington today

Fifteen of the 18 mariners on the Spanish fishing vessel were shifted into an MIQ facility, earlier last month.

The ship was docked at Queens Wharf with the remaining crew, and quarantined.

The Health Ministry says the vessel is expected to be given a clean bill of health, and to leave Wellington today.

Foreign ships 'The Mattina' and 'Playa Zahara' remain quarantined in our ports.
