Canoe Racing New Zealand boss Tom Ashley is backing Lisa Carrington to cope with the unprecedented demands of her Tokyo campaign over the next few days

The double Olympic champion starts the defence of her K1 200 title this afternoon along with her campaign in the K2 500.
She will also chase medals in the K1 500 and K4 500.
Ashley says her preparation has been meticulous.
Carrington starts in the K1 200 heats just before one o'clock, live on Newstalk ZB.
