Fresh uncertainty ahead of today's decision on the Official Cash Rate

The Reserve Bank will reveal its monetary policy statement this afternoon - this as five positive Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the community.
There's also confirmation they are the Delta variant.
The OCR has sat at the record low of 0.25 percent since March last year.
The market had been expecting the rate would be lifted.
Herald business editor at large Liam Dann says the issue now, is how much is it going to affect the economy at a macro level.
He says if we were to have a successful short, sharp lockdown that may not derail the economy, if it was to become a Sydney type scenario, that's something else again.
