A leading health expert is warning more Covid-deaths are likely from this Delta outbreak

A leading health expert is warning more Covid-deaths are likely from this Delta outbreak

Officials yesterday confirmed a woman in her 90s with the virus, died at Auckland's North Shore Hospital.

She's the 27th death from Coronavirus in New Zealand since the pandemic began.

There are 43 people currently in hospital, with seven in ICU or a High Dependency Unit.

Auckland University Professor of Medicine Des Gorman says it shows just how dangerous this variant is.

He says he wouldn't be surprised if more deaths popped up.
