Two people have been caught in a calculated breach of Auckland's border

Two people have been caught in a calculated breach of Auckland's border

A 26-year old woman and 35-year-old man crossed the border with essential workers exemption.

They drove to Hamilton airport and then flew to to their holiday home in Wanaka.

Police say it's completely unacceptable and they will be prosecuted for breaching the health order and for failing to return to their place of residence.

They will be given a summons to court next week.
