A big decision for Fonterra dairy farmers

A big decision for Fonterra dairy farmers

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
The Co-op's given more details of a proposed capital restructure, designed to provide more flexibility.

It includes requiring just one share per three kilograms of milk solids, compared to the current requirement of one share per kg.

The Country's Rowena Duncum says Fonterra's recognising there's a lot of competition in the market place, and other companies are easier to enter into.

She says Fonterra's trying to make itself more attractive, but it will be challenging for farmers who are fully shared up.
