A new investment package has been announced to make it easier to access Wellington Hospital

It comes as part of the hospital's 7.5 million dollar travel action plan.

The Capital and Coast DHB has announced it will invest 3.3 million dollars over the next ten years, to improve access for those walking or cycling to Wellington Hospital.

It will include bike storage, lockers, showers, changing rooms and the development of a carpooling app for staff.

It's also approved a new needs-based parking policy and pricing strategy...which will ensure space will be allocated to those who need it most.
