An iwi group manning the Northland border is flaming Government for planning to reopen Auckland

People who are fully vaccinated or who have taken a Covid test will be able to leave and enter our biggest city from December 15.

But Te Tai Tokerau Border Control says it will be a summer of hell for Northland, where 72 percent of the population is fully-jabbed.

Chief Executive Hone Harawira says the region must hit 90 percent before Auckland's frolic through.

He says if there's no control, it's open season on Tai Tokerau, and they cannot support that.
