    A man will appear in Dunedin District Court in December in relation to Polly Anna Riddell's death


    Police have confirmed the Dunedin man has been charged with manslaughter.

    Riddell died of a suspected drug overdose in Dunedin in 2018.

    The 40 year old had been sexually abused when she was 11 - and her parents have shared her story to raise awareness of the impact.

    Polly's father Mike Riddell posted the news of the arrest on Facebook, calling it excellent news.

    He says justice grinds exceedingly slow, but occasionally gets there in the end.
