The Ministry of Health says the vaccine continues to be an effective tool in slowing the spread of Covid-19... even within households

The Ministry of Health says the vaccine continues to be an effective tool in slowing the spread of Covid-19... even within households

It's still collecting data on transmission but says there's anecdotal evidence of vaccinated people not catching the virus despite a household contact having it.

However, Director of Public Health Dr Caroline McElnay says the vaccine isn't a 100-percent guarantee.

She says there are still breakthrough cases within households.
