New Zealand Rugby is welcoming World Rugby's new law changes to the community game

New Zealand Rugby is welcoming World Rugby's new law changes to the community game

The global body's signed off 10 optional law variations to boost participation and safety at grassroots level, which will come into effect from January.

NZR introduced a domestic version of the changes in 2019, which they adopted from the Welsh.

Participation development manager Mike Hester says the announcement helps mould the game around players, as opposed to moulding players around the game.
