Kiwi Supercars driver Shane van Gisbergen's relishing the prospect of fan noise competing with the rev of the engines at Bathurst

Last year fans were prohibited from attending the Great Race due to the global pandemic, but they've returned to Mount Panorama this year.

Van Gisbergen says the atmosphere of the event is massive, so no fans during the 2020 top 10 shootout in particular was weird.

Qualifying is at 6:35pm ahead of the top 10 shootout tomorrow.
