    Two people have been arrested after a hit and run in New Lynn last week involving a Police officer


    The officer was hit by the fleeing driver as they laid spikes on Great North Road.

    A 19-year-old West Auckland man is due to appear in the Waitakere District Court today on multiple charges , including unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, and reckless driving.

    A 15-year-old male has been charged with Unlawfully Getting Into a Motor Vehicle.

    The injured officer is now recovering at home.
