Teaching an old dog new tricks may be easier than we think

Forest and Bird is calling for dogs to be leashed when on the beach, due to them putting sea birds in danger.

But Active Dogs trainer Jane O'Callaghan says dogs they just need to be better trained for when they're running free.

She says there are many trainers that can teach a dog to be called and disengage from the environment.
