The Black Caps tour of Australia this month may not go ahead as planned

The Black Caps tour of Australia this month may not go ahead as planned

There are reports the New Zealanders are yet to secure MIQ spots back upon return home from across the Tasman.

The series was agreed upon during a time where quarantine free travel in February was mooted.

Should the tour still go ahead it's likely all of the Black Caps frontline test stars will stay home ahead of the series against South Africa.

Tom Latham's certain to be one of them ... and could be called on to captain New Zealand against the Proteas should Kane Williamson remain unavailable.

NZC high performance manager Bryan Stronach was delighted to see Latham go large against Bangladesh after a previous lean period with the bat as skipper.
