Peter Michael's adamant he can turn around what he accepts has been an underwhelming World Cup season and deliver for New Zealand at the Beijing Winter Olympics

The 32-year-old speed skater has been picked for his second Games after finishing fourth twice, four years ago in Pyeongchang,

Michael will contest the 1500 metres, an event he is ranked 43rd in after four World Cup races this season.

Michael is also first alternate for the 10,000 metres where he's 14th in the World Cup standings.
