    The woman hit by a train in Hamilton this week was a 27-year-old mum with a baby who was just days old


    Coroner Bruce Hesketh is now investigating the cause and circumstances of the death.

    Emergency services were called to Frankton Train Station just after eight on Tuesday morning.

    KiwiRail acting group chief executive David Gordon says the train driver has been put on leave and offered counselling and any other support.
