Alice Robinson's team is happy with the skier's first foray into World Cup level downhill racing

Alice Robinson's team is happy with the skier's first foray into World Cup level downhill racing

She's completed the first day of training in the ultimate speed discipline at Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy.

Robinson will train again tonight, before deciding whether to take on her first World Cup race in the event.

She clocked the 44th fastest time, four seconds off the best, but co-coach Chris Knight insists that's encouraging.

The Europa Cup is a second tier circuit on the continent.
