A short-lived bounce back for New Zealand's regional economies

A short-lived bounce back for New Zealand's regional economies

Infometrics' latest report shows economic activity rose 2.8-percent per annum, between October and December.

Economic activity was strongest across the Central North Island, with Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, and Manawatu all recording strong gains.

But Senior Economist Brad Olsen says spending is slowing, because of the Omicron outbreak.
