    Scott McLaughlin's playing down suggestions he can contend for the Indycar Championship this season


    The Kiwi driver, who was rookie of the year in 2021, has scored his maiden victory in the season opening race in Florida.

    The last three champions have won the season opening race.

    McLaughlin says this season, his goal is to be consistent.



    The next race is in Texas next month.
