    AMI says New Zealand's most stolen car is... the Mazda Demio


    Of the 12-thousand stolen vehicle claims the insurance company has handled in the past three years -- more than one thousand were that make.

    Other popular steals include the Mazda Atenza, the Nissan Tiida, the Subaru Legacy and the Toyota Hilux.

    AMI Claims Executive General Manager, Wayne Tippet says there's been a recent increase in vehicles stolen for illegal activities like ram raids.
