West Auckland police say sharp eyes and quick action have led to the recovery of an 80-thousand dollar vehicle, a gun, and ammunition

West Auckland police say sharp eyes and quick action have led to the recovery of an 80-thousand dollar vehicle, a gun, and ammunition

They recovered a stolen vehicle with incorrect plates from outside a Mount Albert home earlier this week.

Inspector Glen Baldwin says officers seized a military-style semi-automatic and a large cache of ammunition at a linked address.

A 35-year-old woman's due to appear at the Auckland District Court charged with receiving stolen goods, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Inspector Glen Baldwin is thanking members of the public for reporting suspicious behaviour.
