    A 36-year-old woman has been found guilty of causing the death of a teenager on State Highway Two near Upper Hutt


    19-year-old David Armstrong was killed in November 2020, soon after he appeared to be racing with driver Lucilla Brunt.

    Open Justice reports a judge-alone trial heard the pair drove side-by-side at 103 kilometres an hour for 400 metres, before Brunt's vehicle clipped Armstrong's, sending it into oncoming traffic.

    Motorists Caron and Mark Lancaster also suffered extensive injuries.
