One person has serious injuries and another's in custody after an assault at Wellington's Tawa College this afternoon

One person has serious injuries and another's in custody after an assault at Wellington's Tawa College this afternoon

A source has told Newstalk ZB it's thought a student was stabbed with a pair of scissors.

Police believe it's an isolated incident and poses no threat to the wider community.

It's not thought to be gang related.

The school was in lockdown for about an hour from 2.15 - and students hid under desks, closed the curtains and turned out the lights.
