    The residential property downturn's effects are beginning to snowball


    The latest QV Quartile Index shows the mean average home value dropped one percent loss this quarter.

    QV general manager David Nagel says it's also the first time since the end of the 2020 nationwide lockdown... the upper quartile has recorded no value growth.

    He's putting it down to rapidly rising interest rates, affordability constraints and significantly tightened lending criteria.
