Auckland Council is appealing for public help after a spate of thefts and vandalism of public art across the city

Auckland Council is appealing for public help after a spate of thefts and vandalism of public art across the city

A bronze figure and base from Auckland Domain's Valkyrie Fountain has disappeared, and a statue in Mount Albert's Alice Wylie Reserve is damaged beyond repair.

There's also been damage to art in Myers Park, the CBD and Matakana.

The council says graffiti call outs are also up.
