A commitment towards a closer relationship

A commitment towards a closer relationship

The Prime Minister's just wrapped up a meeting with Californian Governor Gavin Newsom... where the pair agreed to a new information sharing agreement which they say will help curb climate change.

Jacinda Ardern and Newsom seemed as close as two peas in a very green pod this morning under a pohutukawa tree in San Francisco Botanical gardens.

Ardern acknowledged New Zealand needed help to achieve its climate goals... signalling a deal was being hammered out around Electric Vehicle exports.

Newsom might be able to see the fruits of their diplomatic labour... Ardern invited him to New Zealand and he appeared keen to visit.
