Changes to New Zealanders' circadian rhythms impacted their mental health during lockdown

An Otago University, Christchurch study has found nearly 40 percent of people with existing mood disorders, experienced moderate to severe mental health during the 2020 lockdown.
Lead researcher Professor Richard Porter says it's sparked a call for more public health awareness of the effects of Covid-19 on mood.
He says people should know the importance of retaining their circadian rhythms, as this is something that could happen again.
