Aircraft will be fitted with new style seats, have a new business class area, and include areas further back in the plane to stretch while flying.

New sleep pods for economy passengers have been further developed and are awaiting regulatory approval before being fitted.

Chief Customer and Sales Officer Leanne Geraghty says they'll begin in flights to New York, Chicago and Houston... before a rollout across the long-haul network.

She says they're not discussing just yet what the new configuration will mean for fares.
