    A 33-year-old man has been airlifted off a commercial fishing boat off the coast of Christchurch, suffering serious to moderate injuries


    A safety locator beacon was activated off Banks Peninsula just before 2pm, about 24 nautical miles from Lyttelton Harbour.

    It's understood the man was winched off the vessel about five miles off Okains Bay and flown to Christchurch Hospital.
