Lyttelton Tunnel will be closed three nights in a row this week, as Waka Kotahi undertakes essential tunnel deluge testing.
The tunnel will be closed from midnight to 5am, from tomorrow night until Friday morning.
It will open to traffic on the hour for 10 minutes - but outside those times - only emergency vehicles will be allowed access.
While Christchurch City Council is carrying out nightwork along Dyers Pass Road, motorists will be able to use it while the tunnel is closed.
