New Zealanders will have more options to take to the skies, but it won't all be clear flying

New Zealanders will have more options to take to the skies, but it won't all be clear flying

Air Asia X, a budget carrier from Malaysia, is coming back to New Zealand and will offer flights to Melbourne and Perth, and Auckland via Sydney.

Vincent George Travel agents spokesperson Rosann Connolly George says this will create competition in the market.

She says it will be interesting to see how long the budget carrier can keep up its lower prices.

George says they'll face issues other airlines do like staff shortages and problems with their fleet.
